Ms Hyare appointed as Permanent Headteacher
The Governing Body of BGGS and Sixth Form is delighted to announce the appointment of our new permanent Headteacher, Ms. Pritpal Hyare, who will take up her post from September 2020
Ms Hyare has had an illustrious teaching career coming through the ranks from being a teacher of Mathematics at Myton School, Warwick between 2000 and 2010, to joining Bordesley Green in 2010 when she was appointed Assistant Head of the Sixth Form, and later appointed, in 2018, Acting Head Teacher, when I first had the pleasure of working with her.
An external advisor working with the school said of her that "she has been most effective in leading a rapid improvement in the leadership and management of the school, working in productive collaboration with governors, senior leaders and external partners she produced a realistic plan with clear lines of responsibility. Dissemination to key stakeholders, staff in particular, was effective. Training needs have been addressed thoroughly.”.
The Selection Panel of the Governing Body felt that Ms Hyare is an outstanding candidate who has exceptional ability and was both well qualified and experienced.
Ms Hyare is fully committed to providing the best education possible for our students, as well as to the continued development and success of our school. Indeed, these are all the qualities and characteristics that we would want from our Headteacher.
I am sure that you will join me in congratulating her on her appointment. I am confident that you will support her as she leads the school into a new and exciting future.
Dr M Ally
Chair of Governors
