Teaching Assistant Level 2
Grade 2 + SEN Allowance 32.5 hours/week, Term Time Only
The Governing Body is currently looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our Hearing Resource Base (HRB) in September 2020. This is a fixed term contract for one Academic Year in the first instance.
The successful candidate will be fully committed to providing support in raising the confidence, achievements and expectations of hearing impaired students and will facilitate their access to the curriculum at Key Stage 3-5 to ensure that every hearing impaired student achieves their full potential.
You will work with specialist and mainstream teachers with the aim of enabling full access to the curriculum and facilitating access to school life. This will include support for communication between students, peer groups and staff whilst developing students’ communication and language skills.
Candidates must meet the needs of the profession and deaf students, being fluent in spoken English as required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, with a minimum BSL Level 2 qualification or willing to train.
