Bordesley Green Girls' School and Sixth Form has a broad and comprehensive PHSE curriculum, Taught across five years, PHSE equips BGGS students with the information and experiences that they need for success not just in their academic studies but in their day to day and future life as local, national and global citizens. The curriculum aims to equip them for life as members of, and potentially leaders in, Britain’s diverse and culturally rich community by
- enabling them to play an active role in their school and community

To achieve these aims, our PHSE and wider curriculum is designed to help students
- develop skills and attitudes for lifelong learning
- recognize the importance of technology, science, language and communication in promoting dialogue and understanding between different groups
- value, celebrate and build on religious and cultural heritages, (both their own and those of others)
- understand and respect basic British values, including the rule of law, the right to individual liberty, the rule of democracy, and mutual respect and tolerance for those of different or no faith
- develop their personal intellectual, practical, aesthetic, spiritual, social and emotional capacities
- understand the protected characteristics of the Equality Act and celebrate this diversity
