  • Friday 15 November 2019 Ms Allen appointed as Interim Deputy Head Congratulations to Ms Allen who has been appointed to the role of Interim Deputy Headteacher. She will have a particular focus on the curriculum and ensuring the continuing improvement of teaching.
  • Monday 11 November 2019 QR Code posters promote 6th Form New posters advertising the 6th Form Prospectus for 2020 admission have been put up around the school site today. The feature a QR code to promote the prospectus.
  • Wednesday 6 November 2019 HRB students visit the theatre Students from the Hearing Resource Base here at BGGS have been to the Malvern Theatre today to watch An Inspector Calls, as part of the English curriculum they are studying.

  • Thursday 17 October 2019 Animated view of KS3-KS4 English Curriculum Over the summer, we began a project to create a visual overview of each part of our Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curriculum areas. Each Curriculum Leader added the topics and themes taught in their subject area to their own 'dartboard'. We are now taking these dartboards and making use of them in presentations to students, parents and governors to explain what we teach and why we teach it.
  • Tuesday 15 October 2019 New online branding We have launched our new online branding this week. The sleek new blue and green colour scheme picks up the colours from our wonderful new school uniform and shows the school off in a new way. We have used the colours to give the website a fresh feel and taken the opportunity to add some features such as the pull-out Twitter bar when browsing on a PC
  • Friday 20 September 2019 School Marking Policy We understand that parents and carers want to know how often their daughter's work will be marked and what feedback they will get about her progress. We have produced a guide for students and parents which tells you on a subject-by-subject basis how our marking policy operates at BGGS. Click on the image for the link.

  • Thursday 29 August 2019 2019 Results Newsletters Have you seen our two 'Results Day' Special Editions of the school newsletter? They are both available in the Parents' Information/Newsletters section and give details of the excellent A Level and GCSE results that students at BGGS achieved this summer.
  • Sunday 18 August 2019 Good luck message We wish good luck to all our students awaiting their exam results this week. There is not long to go now and we look forward to sharing your successes on Thursday. Don't forget to confirm your enrollment in the Sixth Form when you've got your results!
  • Friday 16 August 2019 A Level Results 2019 We want to congratulate all our Sixth Form students on their A Level and BTEC results. A significant number of students secured the very top A* grades or very top Distinction level in their BTEC courses.   • Tuesday 23 July 2019 Revision Advice We have given some advice to students who will be in Year 11 from September 2019 to help them make the best use of the six week summer break. Students need to begin revising now in order to hit the ground running in September and to be fully prepared for their GCSEs which are now less than 160 school days away!

  • Friday 12 July 2019 Proud of our performers Last night's performance of the Wizard of Oz was wonderful. The students danced, sang and performed their way into the audience's hearts with a lively rendition of classic numbers from Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
  • Wednesday 10 July 2019 Thanks from our friends at Wyndcliffe We received a lovely message from our friends at the nearby Wyndcliffe Primary School thanking us for delivering engaging PE activities. There is a longstanding friendship between Wyndcliffe and BGGS and we were thrilled to receive their note.

  • Thursday 4 July 2019 Come to our Summer Fete The BGGS Summer Fete is on Saturday 6th July and we want as many members of the school and local communities as possible to come along.This is a chance to enjoy the summer sunshine, browse the stalls and enjoy a community atmosphere with ice cream, street food, tombola, stalls, mehndi, archery, face painting, music and more! Save the date and we'll see you there!
  • Wednesday 3 July 2019 Induction Days 2019 We are delighted to welcome into school the Year 6 students who will be joining us as the new Year 7 in September 2019. We have put in place a range of induction activities over the two days. Students will have the opportunity to experience a range of taster sessions and will meet their Tutor.
  • Thursday 13 June 2019 Book your stall for the Summer Fete Our Summer Fete is on Saturday 6th July and we are now taking bookings from families, business and community organisations who want to run a stall. If you'd like to run a stall, contact Ms Hughes to rent a spot - you get to keep any profit you make!
  • Wednesday 12 June 2019 Y11 Leavers' Assembly Today is the day we officially say goodbye to our Year 11 students. We hope you enjoy the Leavers' Assembly and Catered lunch - don't forget to get your shirt signed as a souvenir of your time at BGGS. Do remember however that you must be in full uniform all morning!
